


The University of OKlahoma's Sooner Flight Academy offers summer camps for students ages 6 though 18. The camps are intended to teach both mathematic and scientific principles through aviation education. The Flight Academy is running the camps June 7th until July 23rd; camp times, dates, and activities are dependent upon the participant's age. All of the camps last for 5 days and range from $450 to $625 depending on how old the camper is; scholarships are available. The price of camp includes 5 days of aviation related hands-on activities, a front row seat during a flight inspection, a t-shirt, a photograph, and Campers ages 8 through 18 will get to go on an airplane ride with an OU Flight Instructor. OU Sooner Flight Academy Instructor Michael Gehris, said, "Growing up, I attended several aviation camps. All of the camps confirmed my dream of one day becoming a Pilot. I hope that I can show these campers how amazing aviation really is."
